I’ve just about used up the 2 gallons of Sculpwood Epoxy Paste I got from you in May. As always with The Rot Doctor it is a fine product. But goodness that is tough stuff to work with on a vertical surface. So this time I would like to try Sculpwood Moldable Epoxy Putty. One of the reasons I went with the Paste was that it noted that it was 100% waterproof and the Putty did not make that statement. I find it hard to believe that the Putty is not waterproof. Please confirm as to whether it is or not.

The Putty would be waterproof as well.
Just an FYI… It is very much drier than the Paste, we have found that it needs to be well worked into the surface to gain the best adhesion. You can use the Paste as a wetting agent to surface before applying the Putty. Once the surface is sufficiently covered then it will hold in larger gaps and on vertical areas — like what you are dealing with on the side of your boat.
The Paste can also be thickened to the desired consistency… with a thickening agent such as Sawdust, Talc, or other non-reactive dry filler. We have found that with a thickener it can hold on the vertical areas in much larger quantities than without.
