Subject: Camper floor

A 1x2 section of my 1988 camper floor is rotted. I removed the linoleum, scraped out the loose fibers, and applied CPES. The floor is still soft. How long does it take for the product to harden? Is the floor just too rotted and I need to replace the wood? Or do I need the laminating resin, too?
Help!
How long has it been since you applied the CPES? How much of the wood-thickness is missing?

In two spots I'd say that half the wood thickness was missing. And it had only been 12 hours...I'm impatient I guess. ;) I checked it again a few hours ago and it seemed to be hardening.
Thanks.
Okay. Yes, it'll take a couple of days before it's completely hard. You are free, however, to go ahead and apply an epoxy filler over it. The curing process will continue.

Just an update: After the CPES dried, it was obvious the defect was fairly deep. I ordered the layup and laminating resin and added that, which filled in the recesses. A bit of filler on top and I'm now ready to place the linoleum.
Very good repair and saved me the time and energy of gutting the camper and replacing the entire piece of wood.
Very, very happy with your products and would use them again. Thank you for everything! (products, website, and prompt reply to e-mails!)
