Subject: Just a question? (Motor Mounts)
Date: Saturday, 18 August 2018

I have an issue with my fiberglass boat and with dry rot in the motor mounts. Your product looks like the best solution compared to tearing the boat apart. I noticed a Q/A only go to 2007. Are you still in business to order the product and can it be shipped to Canada.

All the best,
Mel

Mel,

Yes, we are still very much in business, and we ship frequently into Canada. If you tell us exactly what you are considering purchasing (excluding sawdust as Canada has extra taxes on any wood products) and your exact address we can send you a product/shipping quotation.

Thank you for the reply it is appreciated. I am assuming I will need the Epoxy and what ever else you might advise. The stringers the motor is mounted to are not holding the bolts any more and you can almost pull them out by hand. If I put a long shank down one of the holes it will touch the fiberglass on the bottom of the boat. Not sure what it is like around the bolt holes. The wood was wrapped in fiberglass and it is still in good shape. The boat is a 1972 Fiber Form, 18 foot I/O. I look forward to hearing what you might suggest and can your product be bought in Vancouver BC area. Thanks again.

All the best,
Mel

Mel,

It's a little hard to predict product amounts in these situations because you can't really know the volumes involved. Based on what you are describing, I would make an estimate of 1 gallon of the CPES (2 X our #102) and a gallon of the L&L Resin (2 X our #312), The sawdust you should get locally since Canadian customs charges extra for the import of wood products. The procedure, is outlined on our website under Rot Repair to Inaccessible Wood in Engine Mounts. Our products are not available in Canada and must be shipped in via UPS Ground.
