Subject: Glass hull/core repair (Part 7)

Hi Doc and friends,

The new core is laid in my Yellow Jacket and coated with a healthy dose of CPES. This sealer is amazing stuff!!!!! I know I will use it all over the place where I want to penetrate and seal. (My sons sandbox is the next project).

Question, I have one (1) healthy coat of CPES (brush applied, 2 qt on ~ 30sqft). Would you recommend a second coat and if so how long should I let the first coat dry before reapplying.

Thanks for the good news!

I think in your particular application the one coat is sufficient. Two coats would just start sealing the wood. Let the final coating product do that.
